So it begins

you fill me with a yearning so deep
you can't comfort me
from across the universe
is that all that is destined
a diversion
sleep is my escape
cradled in a dream lover's embrace
I wander about in a haze
missing the
pieces of my heart
I crave solitude
to dream of green eyes
the otherworldly smile
of one that has known a
brilliant but brief moment
of perfection on earth

In the begining

Unfettered at last
free to face the wilderness
let the solitude in to cleanse
the weary soul
banish the cobwebs and dust off
long forgotten dreams
the gaze that sent my heart soaring

Stranger

Here we muse as the shadows grow long
a series of misteps
we follow the well worn paths
but there is a growing chasm
between us

surely the signs were there all along
